  • Workshop: Platform Control at Deutsche Telekom

siticom, UNIBERG and Telekom cooked together! The joint cooking class was a fabulous get-together to promote team spirit, as well as a workshop to get to know each other's different tasks. In an informal setting, the members of the a key project for Telekom had the opportunity to meet each other in person and create a bond. The subject of siticom's work within our joint project is the creation of concepts in the area of further development of the NGN platform of Deutsche Telekom for Services & Platforms, in particular the support in the area of platform control (PFS), the CNTDB fixed platform and the network data layer (NDL). This includes planning, conception and realisation of a new test automation solution for the platform control, support of the telecom internal squads in the acceptance of the platforms and in the operation of all CNTDB environments. It was a pleasure to take the project to „real life“ and forget about the virtual meetings for one day, while enyojng delicious food like creme brulee. The meeting was a complete success! The team members got to know each other outside of work, which not only broke the ice but also improved the energy between the team members. We are sure that this event will have a positive impact on the project. Because the team that eats together stays together😊 We hope to further improve our relationship with UNIBERG and Telekom and we are looking forward to the next opportunity like this in the future!

  • siticom enhances 5G Lab capabilities

Our labs are an important cornerstone of our outstanding expertise in 5G use case development, system validation and deployment automation. We are proud to announce our additional lab in Munich! At this very moment, the final components of our 5G lab are being installed in Munich. This means that our Munich location now also has a private 5G network with a first focus on use case integration and training on a new exciting 5G solution. More about the solution soon. The experience gained from our other 5G Labs is of course of great benefit to us. The Weiterstadt site in particular already has several 5G networks with different focal points since the beginning of the company's history. The Weiterstadt site already has several 5G networks with different focal points since the beginning of the company's history. We differentiate between two types. One are the Development Networks, used for pre-test of new releases, component integration and continuous development of our deployment, observability, and virtualisation solutions for 5G. Production networks are customer close installations, where we validate new system releases before we deploy them at costumer sites. Also these networks allow interested parties to trial use cases, see implementation options, latest solutions and features of our vendors or to get architecture and integration support. Interested to see a private 5G implementation? Get in touch with us! In addition, our Automation Lab is continuously researching methods for automating latency, load and performance tests, as well as message sequencing, which is already being used in several projects and provides precise insights into the interaction of components from a wide range of manufacturers. Impressions from the siticom Labs in Weiterstadt, Germany The development of our 5G lab capabilities is an important part of our partner onboarding activities, e.g. with Airspan, Cisco, Dell, Druid, JMA, Nokia, QCT and Sunwave. Above all, siticom is able to serve the immense demand for use case development in the 5G environment in its managed service portfolio, probably uniquely in Europe. • Network Observability: Performance and Security in Network Operation

In today's complex and virtualised networks, monitoring has become a critical aspect of ensuring the efficient and secure operation of IT infrastructure. The ability to observe and analyse network activity in real-time is essential for detecting and responding to potential issues that could compromise performance and security. For this reason, businesses and organizations are increasingly turning to observability stacks as a solution to this challenge. Our Network Observability Stack offers enhanced monitoring capabilities with real-time visibility into network activity. Our stack enables IT teams to quickly detect and diagnose issues that could impact performance or security. A key benefit of our observability stack is predictive maintenance. By analysing network data over time, our stack can identify trends and patterns that may indicate impending issues, allowing DevOps teams to proactively address them before they become critical problems. Our stack is also designed to facilitate easy integration with new providers and partners. Druid, Metaswitch, Airspan, OCT and other are already integrated in our flexible and robust platform. Cutting edge OpenSource Grafana-based toolchain Our Network Observability Stack is built on an open-source toolchain that includes Grafana, Grafana Agent, MiMir, Loki, and S3. This toolchain provides a powerful suite of features and capabilities that enable IT teams to monitor network performance and security in real-time. One of the most significant advantages of our stack is the ability to program custom interfaces and dashboards. siticom designed a a robust set of metrics that provide comprehensive visibility into network activity. These metrics include logs, utilisation, traffic, and other key performance indicators that enable DevOps teams to quickly identify and diagnose issues. This means that IT teams can customize the stack to meet their specific needs and requirements, ensuring that they have access to the data and insights they need to optimize network performance. Our Stack is designed to be easy to deploy and use, with an automated deployment process that leverages Terraform to ensure consistent and reliable setup. This ensures that DevOps can get up and running quickly and easily, without the need for extensive manual configuration. As new technologies and capabilities emerge, our team is committed to updating and enhancing the stack to ensure that it remains at the cutting edge of network observability. Conclusion Our Network Observability Stack provides a powerful and flexible platform for monitoring and optimizing network performance and security. With enhanced observability, predictive maintenance, and easy integration with external providers, our stack enables IT teams to quickly identify and respond to potential issues, ensuring that critical infrastructure remains secure and performing at peak efficiency.
